Author's Note: 2016 has almost drawn to a close and I'm sure I'm not the only person cheering its departure. Despite the crap that the year has hurled our way, I need to express gratitude for a couple of bloody wonderful things that have snuck in. Firstly, I got to meet / catch up with so many wonderful Muse fans and fellow writers as I travelled through Europe. That was extremely special for me and I can't wait for my next trip to meet even more lovely people from this community. Secondly, I am having some wins with my writing outside of Museslash and hope to be able to finish my first novel soon. 2017 sounds like a good year to be published, doesn't it? If you're interested in following progress in that regard, please ask for my author page details.

But for now, enjoy the Christmas story...

Thank you all for making Snowpremacy 2016 a success. We appreciate your efforts during what is admittedly a busy time of year for us all. :)

I wanted to specifically thank [livejournal.com profile] mcsparklez for all of her work in assigning prompts and posting check-ins. Stef, in doing that, enabled me to participate in the fest itself - thanks, bro, for everything, seriously. Without her the fest would not have taken place. <3

All the best to you all for 2017.

Much Love

Title: Year After Year (1/2)
Rating: PG-13
Beta: Huge shoutout to tamarelmensdorp!!! You're a lifesaver, dear!
Pairing: Matthew Bellamy/Dominic Howard
Prompt/prompter: From stefanyeah: Clock - candles - tea. I don't know if this is what you had in mind, Stef, but I hope you'll enjoy it!

Warnings: minor character death.
Disclaimer: No profit is made. Matt and Dom are not mine, but the story is.
Author's note: First thing first, I apologise for not being able to post the whole story today. I just panicked, because I couldn't get a feel of the story, and had to rewrite it. But I think I hit the tone now, and I know where it's headed. The parts in italics are flashbacks. Hope you all had a lovely weekend, and peaceful last days of the year.

The clock struck midnight, and Matthew felt a shiver run down his spine, his skin breaking into goosebumps.

Title: The Second Noël
Author: [livejournal.com profile] stefanyeah
Pairing: BellDom
Rating: R for hints at bedroom shenanigans
Prompts: Angel — Memories — Cookies
Summary: Our festive couple celebrates their second Christmas together. Or are they?
Betas: [livejournal.com profile] muse_manticore
Disclaimer: I‘m sure all of us are aware that the events playing out in this piece of writing are untrue, never happened, most likely never will happen. I‘m pretty sure we all know that the other is perfectly aware of this fact. We just accept it for the sake of this story as temporary truth. Which turns the words beneath the cut into fiction.

I don‘t own Muse or other publicly recognisable characters, the plot however is mine.

Author‘s Notes: I'm first! :O

My prompt fill for [livejournal.com profile] thekeyholder. I hope you like it. :)

And so we meet the mad scientist and his assistant again during another Christmas. Maybe I’ll make it a bit of a tradition, re-visiting the two for Christmas. What do you think? Yay/Yay?

Also, a big thankyou to [livejournal.com profile] tamarelmensdorp for helping me out with a little acronym.

Have a happy Christmas everyone and may 2017 be a better year than this stupid 2016.

See you all for the beautiful fics!
20 December 2016 @ 05:21 pm
Hello everyone.

Last check-in post today. Please make sure to reply and let us know how you're faring.

Also, as soon as you've replied you will get both your posting date and prompter name.

Make sure to reply until the 23rd December.

Thank you for all of your hard work during this busy time. We cannot wait to read all your fics :)
10 December 2016 @ 04:45 pm
Hello, guys!

Me again :D This is the first check-in post that you need to reply to. We don't want to know much from you, just that you're still around and working on your fic. You can, of course, tell us how you're faring and if you've got troubles we're gonna help you out!

Please reply until the 15th December.

Thanks for all of your hard work! Have a wonderful third advent :)
07 December 2016 @ 10:19 am
Hello everyone, we hope you're doing well and that your stories come along fine :)

Today I'll ask you to reply to this post with what date you'd prefer to post your story on. We do this so not all stories get posted at the same time and also, to get a bit more structure in for both you and us :)

We've decided to narrow it down to three possible dates, so let us know which of these would suit you best:

Saturday, 24th December

Sunday, 25th December

Monday, 26th December

If more than one suits you, let us know! If none of them suits you, let us also know! We'll figure out a date for you then :)

Please let us know until the 17th December.

Have a good rest of the week!
02 December 2016 @ 06:36 am
If you have not yet checked in on THIS post, please remember to do so. As Stef said:

Please let us know that you've read all of these and give us a quick reply to this post. Also, if you have any questions feel free to ask :)
We are not trying to be a nuisance, we are just trying to make sure everyone understands the schedule for the fest. As we alluded, in the past people have been left with no fic at all and we're trying our damndest to ensure that doesn't happen again this year. Take care!
27 November 2016 @ 02:19 pm
Hello everyone, hope you had a good week!

Here's the timetable for all important posts concerning the event :)

- The 1st check-in post will be on the 10th December.

- The 2nd check-in post will be on the 20th December.

Please make sure to reply to these to let us know that you're still active and how you're coming along. I know it's annoying and a nuisance, but we've had people dropping out in the middle of the event without letting us know and their prompters were then left with no gift at all. We went to prevent this as good as possible.

- Sign up for a date to claim in the assigned post until the 15th December.

The date claim post will go up later this week. Take your time in claiming and decide depending on how well you progress with your fic and keep family gatherings in mind. If none of the suggested dates are applicable to you, please let us also know. We can find a solution :)

- You will receive your prompter's name on the 23rd December.

Naturally, we want to lift the big mystery of who your prompter was before you post :) And also, that way you can easily dedicate it to them.

Please let us know that you've read all of these and give us a quick reply to this post. Also, if you have any questions feel free to ask :)

Have a great 1st advent, everyone!
23 November 2016 @ 07:25 pm
Hello everyone!

Prompts have been sent out a couple of minutes ago. You should have a message in your inbox! If not, let me know asap (PM or on this post - comments are screened as always).

Thanks :)
